25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Fermin Campos-Jaramillo conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the home today. LPA met with Mary Ponce, Licensee, and explained the nature of today's inspection to her. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The adults that reside in the home are the Licensee, her spouse Gabriel, and her adult daughters Angie and Starlite. LPA observed two preschool children were present during today's inspection. Certification for CPR and First Aid Card for Licensee are current and will expire on 3/19/24.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today's inspection. Licensee was unable to provide the children's roster today. LPA reviewed four children files and observed files are complete. LPA observed that Licensee has conducted a fire drill during the last six months. Last fire drill was documented on 11/16/22.
The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. Off limit areas inside are: The second floor, one bedroom in the first floor, and the attached garage. Off limits areas outside: 2 storage sheds in the back yard, and the left and tight side yards. The home has back yard and it is fenced, Licensee uses the back yard as playground. Licensee has a dog in the home, and licensee stated is vaccinated.
LPA observed a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher last time serviced on 5/10/22 and at least one working smoke detector. LPA observed the home has not a working carbon monoxide detector. LPA observed there are barricaded stairs in the home. LPA observed the home does not have wall heaters, or bodies of water. LPA observed the home has a barricaded fireplace located in the on limits area. The Licensee states that she does not have any weapons in the home. The house has a laundry area located in the off limits garage. All detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other similar items are stored inaccessible to children. According with the SB792, Licensee has in file proof of immunization for pertussis, measles, and influenza.
