Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Marilou Monico and Dung Mac, conducted an announced follow up Pre-Licensing inspection to the facility today. The initial Pre-licensing inspection was completed on October 4, 2021. LPAs met with Shannan Watkins, Applicant Representative, and Candace Frazure, Site Director.

The Applicant Representative and Site Director were advised of the following items that needed to be completed prior to a follow-up inspection:
1) Fire Safety Inspection Request (STD 850) with inspection date
2) Install a gate/barricade to separate the diaper changing table and toilets in the bathroom between Room 4 and Room 5
3) Infant and Preschool Playgrounds to be set-up and fenced
4) Photos showing that a refrigerator and a dishwasher have been installed in the kitchen

LPAs toured the facility and measured the infant outdoor areas. Outdoor measurements are as follows:
Infant Yards: 131.167 x 9.500 = 1,246.086
40.250 x 15.000 = 603.75
51.250 x 17.833 = 913.941
73.167 x 11.167 = 817.055
20.417 x 50.750 =1,036.162
Infant Yards total = 4,616.994 minus 115.534 (encumbered space) = 4,501.46
TOTAL PRESCHOOL OUTDOOR SPACE = 4,501.46 sq. ft. divided by 35 sq. ft. = 60 children

The playground areas utilized by children are surrounded by appropriate fencing. LPAs observed that the outdoor equipment is age appropriate. Shade is provided by shade sails and building overhangs. Drinking water is provided by bottles. LPAs observed no bodies of water.

LPAs note that the following items have completed/observed during today's inspection:
1) Fire clearance was received on October 4, 2021 with inspection date of September 28, 2021.
2) A wooden barricade was installed separating the diaper changing table and toilets in the bathroom between Room 4 and Room 5.
3) Infant and Preschool Playgrounds have been set up and fenced.
4) A dishwasher was installed in the kitchen.

The following item must be received prior to licensure of 50 children in the infant program:
1) Photo showing that the kitchen has a refrigerator to store perishable food.
