25 | The purpose of this inspection was to conduct a case management evaluation of the facility for increasing capacity. The facility has requested to increase the capacity of the preschool program from 90 children to 96 children. Fire clearance received in the licensing office notes the inspection occurred 8/20/19.
Upon today’s arrival Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Lopez and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Connolly met with director Criselda Lozon and assistant director Tammy Pipitone. The facility was toured inside and out. Census was taken. There were 73 children with 8 attending staff. A review of staff criminal clearance records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances.
Rooms #105, #101, #102, #103, #104, #110, #112 and #113 were measured today and It was determined the facility can accommodates 106 children. Within the classrooms there were a total of 16 toilets and 16 sinks accessible for children in care. Facility will operate Monday through Friday 7:20 AM to 6:00 PM.
The outdoor play yard was measured for a total of 123 children.
An exit interview was completed. The report was reviewed and discussed. The director was informed a license for 96 preschool children will be issued effective today. An updated parent student handbook was provided. No deficiencies were observed during today's inspection.
The Notice of Site Visit was posted. Facility representative was informed that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post will result in civil penalties of $100. The director was provided a copy of their appeal right (LIC 9058 01/16) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. All appeals must be in writing and received by the licensing office within 15 business days. The facility representatives were informed that they can refer to our Department website at www.ccld.ca.gov for obtaining the quarterly updates. Exit interview was conducted. |
