25 | A case management inspection conducted on this day by Licensing Program Analyst ( LPA) Ho. The Early Childhood Educator Setting is requesting to add a toddler option component to the existing preschool license without any change to the capacity. The Early Childhood Educator Setting is currently licensed for 69 preschool children and seeking to add 19 toddlers ages 18 to 36 months old to the preschool license. Rooms C105 will be used for the toddler option program. No children were present during today's inspection due to Summer Break. A review of staff records on this date indicated that all facility staff or other individuals who required caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
Measurement was taken as follows:
Indoor space:
Room # C105: 26'9 x 23.9' = 634'
21'3 x 7'3 = 154'
Total: 635 + 154' = 789'/35' = 22 children
Sink: 9 x 15 = 135 children
Toilet: 2 x 15 = 90 children.
Toddler option children will be sharing the play yard with the preschool children using the staggered schedules. Waiver has been submitted to LPA for approval.
Fire clearance from Orange County Fire Authority has been received and approved for requested capacity.
Base on today’s measurements and the sink & toilet availability, center has sufficient activity space to support the requested capacity of 19 toddler option and 50 preschool children.
Exit interview conducted. Notice of Site Visit was posted. Director was informed that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post will result in civil penalties of $100. |
