NARRATIVE
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	A case management inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jungmi (Jamie) Han to measure for capacity. The facility is adding a building which is located south of preschool and west of Walker Auditorium for additional 20 preschool children. The building is currently called Nursery. Director stated she will call additional room as Lamb's lot and will have classroom name as Peach and Mint. Director stated existing preschool building with 4 classrooms will be called St. John's Preschool. The facility requested to increase capacity from 84 to 104. Fire clearance was approved on 7/11/2019 for 104 capacity for preschool by adding additional room, Lamb's lot. LPA met with director, Emily Martinez. LPA Han toured the additional building classroom inside and outside. Census was taken. There was a total of 0 preschool children with 0 preschool staff. LPA toured the entire facility indoors & outdoors and the following measurements were taken: Indoor: Lamb's lot (classroom called Peach and MInt) : 733.17 div. 35 = 20 children Total children toilets and sinks: 2 toilets x 15 = children = 30 3 sinks x 15 = children = 45 Outdoor activity space next to the Lamb's lot is 431 div. 75 = 6 children Outdoor activity space for existing preschool: 6743.57 div. 75 = 90 (remeasured by LPA Han)

Director stated Lamb's lot children will mainly use existing outdoor activity space by rotating activity schedule of each preschool classroom. Director stated Lamb's lot children will also use small outdoor space which it is right next to the classroom by rotating activity schedule of Lamb's lot children.

Based on today’s measurement limiting factor is the outdoor space, the capacity is limited to 90 children.
The facility will share main playground with other preschool children by rotating outdoor activity schedule.

LPA informed applicant that a final review of the file will be done before the license is issued. The licensee will be notified if any corrections or additions still need to be completed.

Exit interview was conducted, and report was reviewed and discussed. Notice of Site Visit was posted during the visit. The facility representative was informed that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post will result in civil penalties of $100 per day. The licensee was provided a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058 12/15) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. First level appeal is to Regional manager, address is above on the report. The facility representative was informed of how/where to access regulations and forms from CCLD website: www.ccld.ca.gov. This report is to be on file and accessible for public review at the facility for at least 3 years.
