Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mahnaz (Nancy) Malek conducted a case management inspection of the facility for the purpose of decreasing capacity from 42 school age children to 28 school age children by taking Room # 7 off and add it to the preschool Program. LPA met with director, Vanessa Stahl who toured the facility with. There were no school age children present during inspection. According to director, there are 21 school age children present on average. Currently the facility is licensed for 42 school age children in rooms # 7 and 10. The licensee has requested to provide care and supervision for 28 children in room # 10 only to ages 5 to 12 years old, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
Office area is located at the entrance of the building and will serve as the isolation area for ill children temporarily until parents arrive. The staff/adult restroom will be used as the isolation restroom for ill children and is conveniently located close to the isolation area.
