During the complaint investigation, LPA Giselle Lucero interviewed staff and parents and reviewed children files.
On 03/26/2025, LPA Lucero interviewed staff. Staff interviewed denied observing or being aware of an infant who is under 18 months old attend at the facility. Staff stated they are aware of a few children who have been enrolled but children have not yet attended due to children not being 18 months old.
LPA Lucero reviewed 11 children files for children currently enrolled and attending in the toddler component program. LPA did not observe any children to be under the age of 18 months old.
LPA also reviewed 4 out of 4 staff files. LPA observed Staff #1 (S1) is missing 3 units in child, family and community course. During interviews, staff stated S1 is never left alone with the children, S1 has always been with another teacher. LPA reviewed staff transcripts, LPA observed staff 3 out of 4 staff are fully qualified infant/toddler staff.
Children were not interviewed due to children’s age.
LPA interviewed 4 parents. Parents interviewed made no disclosures and expressed no concerns regarding the facility.
Based on the investigation conducted with staff, 4 parents, and records reviewed, it was determined there was insufficient evidence that (1) day care is operating outside the scope of their license and (2) staff do not have infant/toddler course qualifications. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated. Exit interview was conducted with Director Deborah Warkentien. Notice of Site Visit was posted during the visit.
End of report.
