An Informal Meeting was conducted on this day in the Orange Regional Office. Present during the meeting were Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Judy Hanson, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jung Mi (Jamie) Han, director Taryn Stephens, and licensee Deborah Cosby.

The purpose of this informal meeting is to discuss the licensee's most recent inspections and the history of the facility.

101429(a)(1) - Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision for Infants. Each infant shall be constantly supervised and under direct visual observation and supervision by a staff person at all times. Under no circumstances shall ANY infant be left unattended. A child was in a swing a distance from the staff who was sitting in the rocker.

101226(e)(1) - Health-Related Services. Medications shall be kept in a safe place inaccessible to children. There was medication in the refrigerator accessible to children.

101427(j) - Infant Care Food Service. Bottles, dishes and containers of food brought by the infant's authorized representative shall be labeled with the infant's name and the current date. There were bottles and sippy cups not labeled and dated.

The facility representatives state that they will ensure compliance with Title 22 Regulations Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision 101429(a)(1). The Director stated rocker is right next to the swing. Staff can be at the rocker and still watch baby in swing.

The facility representatives state that they will ensure compliance with Title 22 Regulations - Health-Related Services 101226(e)(1). The Director stated she is keeping medication boxes under the office desk in the small refrigerator and box which is locked.

The facility representatives state that they will ensure compliance with Title 22 - Infant Care Food Service 101427(j).
The Director stated she is using label machine to label each child’s name and current date on the bottles and sippy cups.

Facility was advised on how to receive notifications for quarterly updates and provided with Child Care Advocate contact information: childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov.

A copy of the 2016 “A Child Care Providers Guild to Safe Sleep” was provided to the facility representative.

· Always place infants on their backs for sleeping


· Use only a tight-fitting sheet on the crib or play yard mattress
· Do not hang any items from the crib or above the crib
· Keep all items, including blankets, out of the crib or play yard
· Pacifiers may be used as long as they do not have items attached to them
· Infants should not be swaddled or have any items covering them while sleeping
· The temperature of the room should be comfortable enough for an adult to wear a t-shirt and not be too hot or too cold
