A case management inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Mai and Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Judy Hanson met with licensee, Joy Millea. Present were the licensee and two assistants and 9 children present (7 preschoolers and 2 infants) in the facility today.

Currently there are 4 adult residents and 1 minor child living in the home.
A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary printed on 02/26/2020 and review of staff records indicates facility staff or individuals who require caregiver background checks have received a criminal record clearance, criminal record clearance transfer or exemption and a child abuse index clearance, except for Victoria Alcon-Cakus, start date of 02/05/2020, and Fiona Millea, resident since 01/21/2020.

The following violation of the California Code of Regulations, Title 22; Division 12, is being cited: 102370(d)(2) No criminal background clearance transfer for Victoria Alcon-Cakus and 102370(d)(1) No criminal record clearance for Fiona Millea. Civil penalties have been assessed. This report cites two Type A violation and shall be provided to parents/guardians of children currently in enrolled and to parents/guardians of children newly enrolled at the facility during the next 12 months. Parents/guardians must sign Form LIC9224 to be kept in each child's file.

Exit interview was conducted. Report reviewed and discussed. Notice of Site Visit was posted during the visit. Facility representative was informed that the notice of site visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post will result in civil penalties of $100. The director was provided a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058 01/16) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. First level appeals should be sent to the regional manager at the address listed above. End of Report.
