32 | Items which could pose a danger to children (detergents, cleaning compounds, and medications) were stored out of the reach of children. Poisonous items are not stored on site, and none were observed during today's inspection.
There is a working carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, and fire extinguisher in the home that meet statutory and State Fire Marshall standards. Recently Licensee did pass the Fire inspection and was approved for a Large Family Child care home.
The home has age appropriate Infant and preschool age toys / furniture and activities for children.
Licensee stated there are no Pets/ weapons or Bodies of water on the premises.
There is a community pool on the Town home complex, which is completed fenced and is located on the opposite direction of the home and is not visible.
On today’s inspection LPA observed Licensee was engaged in providing care and supervision 2 Children 1 Infant and 1 toddler) .
LPA verified there is a working telephone service ( Land line and cellular service). Licensee stated they do use an outdoor patio play area adjoining the day care room for outdoor activities. It has age appropriate outdoor play items, it is completed fenced with concrete flooring covered with soft mat. Part of the patio area has small fence making the other side inaccessible to children, where additional toys and bikes are stored. There is a closet door with a safety door knob in the patio area, where water heater is placed. The door remains locked.
The licensee does have a current roster of children in care and the 2 records were reviewed on today's inspection, LPA reviewed the emergency information card that contains all the information specified by regulation (LIC 700) and found to be in compliance.
The licensee has valid Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is valid through July 5th 2023 along with the Mandated Child Abuse training certificate. (2) |
