25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stacy Torrence conducted an onsite inspection for the purpose of an Annual Inspection. LPA and Licensee toured the facility inside and outside and the floor and yard plan (LIC 999) were verified. Also present during today’s inspection, was Licensee’s assistant. LPA observed licensee and licensee’s assistant, caring for 8 preschool children and 2 infants. Licensee was operating within the licensed capacity as specified on license. Currently there are two adults including the licensee living in the facility. Facility Day Care hours are 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates all facility residents, staff, or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
The childcare area consists of the family room, living room, dining room, one bathroom, and backyard. The facility has conducted an emergency drill within the past six months. There are working carbon monoxide, smoke detector, and fire extinguishers in the home that meet statutory and State Fire Marshall standards. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children were stored inaccessible to children. Licensee stated there are no firearms and/or other dangerous weapons in the facility, and none were observed during today's inspections. There is a fireplaces, located in the family room, which is barricaded with a gate and lock. The home has age appropriate toys for the ages served. LPAs verified there is a working telephone service (cellular service). Licensee stated they use the backyard as outdoor play area. There are no bodies of water on the premises. |
