An unannounced case management inspection was conducted on this date by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ketki Desai The purpose for today’s inspection was to evaluate the facility for a capacity increase. LPA met with Director, Samantha Hour and Administrator Susan Bixler. Director arrived shortly to meet LPA. Census was taken as follows: Room # 5: Older Infants 15 months to 24 months.= 13 napping infants with 2 staff/Room # 6 : young infants ( 6 weeks to 14 months) 11 infants with 3 staff ( One staff in the crib area)
Facility is currently licensed for 30 infants and seeking to increase capacity to 40 infants within the two rooms A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who required caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
Operating hours ; Monday to Friday : 6.30 AM to 6.00 PM.

The current measurement for the current capacity is 1490 square feet which accommodates 42 infants within the two rooms for indoor space. Total outdoor activity area is approximately 4934.70 square feet that accommodates 65 infants. There are 6 sinks and 1 toilet for current capacity available to infants.
The fire clearance is approved for 40 infants.

The facility representative was informed that they can refer to our Department website at www.ccld.ca.gov for obtaining the quarterly updates. The increasing capacity approval will be discussed in Regional Office.

After a tour of the center, no deficiency was observed .

Exit interview conducted. Notice of Site Visit was posted. Director was informed that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post it will result in civil penalties of $100. “The licensee was provided a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058 12/15) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights.”
