25 | On 01/07/2021, at 10:00 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stacy Torrence conducted a virtual inspection with Nathalie Franco, Director. The purpose of this inspection is to provide technical assistance and ensure the facility is safe for the care and supervision of children in care. Due to COVID-19 state of emergency a waiver to co-mingle the toddler component with preschool children in order to create cohorts of children that are stable throughout the day during COVID-19 outbreak, waiver was granted on 10/30/2020 for the facility to care for children ages 18 months to 3 years old at the above address due to COVID-19.
Check-in will take place in the parking lot in front of the facility. Parents will drive up, a director is standing outside waiting for the children to be dropped off, the directors will check-in children utilizing an electronic check-in program called Pro-Care; teachers then come and walk their students to their assigned classrooms. If children become ill during the day, they will rest in the isolation area located in the chapel, with a staff member present. There are two staff bathrooms located at the facility, one of the bathrooms will be utilized as the isolation bathroom. Children’s authorized representative will be contacted immediately for pick up, if a child becomes ill. Department of Public Health will be contacted in regard to any COVID-19 illness.
Children will stay with the same group as assigned and will not be moved from one group to the other. No more than 16 individuals in a cohort and groups must be kept physically separated. Age appropriate furniture including tables and chairs and are present in each of the rooms to meet the needs of children in care. The toddler component classroom has a potty chair and a changing table with the sink at arm length. The preschool has bathrooms located inside the classrooms, and outside the classrooms. There are six toilets and eight sinks available. There is a designated outdoor play area with age appropriate equipment and activities. Drinking water readily available through the use of personal water bottles; labeled and dated and water filters available to fill-up their bottles, when necessary.
