An unannounced case management inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mahnaz (Nancy) Malek for the purpose of increasing the capacity by adding one more classroom. The facility has requested to increase their capacity from 40 to 52 preschool children in rooms 401, 405, 406, and 506. Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00 pm ages 3 to 5 years old. The new room that will be added is room 506.
A review of criminal record clearances indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
LPA met with director, Linda Faulkner. LPA toured the facility inside and outside with the director. Census was taken. There were a total of 18 preschool children with 3 staff in two different classrooms. All the current rooms were inspected (401, 405, and 406).
The new room 506 was measured and it was approximately 410 square feet.
Based on the measurement of 4/27/2016 total indoor measurement for rooms 401, 405, and 406 are proximately 1412 square feet. Therefore 1412 square feet + 410 square feet = 1822 square feet divided by 35= 52 children.
There are two toilets and 5 sinks inside the classrooms for children's use.
There are 2 toilets and one sink from the boys bathroom and there are 2 toilets, and one sink from the girls bathroom outside the classroom located on the elementary ground. These outside bathrooms are shared with kindergarten children form elementary school. (A waiver is required)
