1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Desai, Ketki conducted an unannounced Case Management Licensee initiated inspection at the above facility for the purpose of increasing the Toddler option capacity, with the change in overall capacity to 180 children. Today there were 89 preschool age children with 13 staff and 34 Toddlers with 7 toddler staff. Currently facility is licensed for 130 preschool age children, 2-6 years old in 7 assigned rooms and 48 Toddlers in three assigned toddlers classrooms. Each component has their own yard. Facility is now requesting to increase the Toddler option with a capacity from 48 to 50 Toddlers (18 months – 36 months) in the 4 Toddler rooms and maintaining the Preschool capacity as 130 for children (2-6 years) in Primary Room # 1, 2 and 3, 4, 5 and 6 Facility Director Ms. Kim, Tamara Lew gave a tour of the facility including new Toddler classroom, Preschool rooms and toddler play yard. Also met the President Mr. Ayres, Scott. Per the new Application received facility shall serve 130 Preschool age children from 2-6 years old and 50 Toddler option children (18 -36 months).Operating hours for this program will be Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM The following was observed in the four Toddler rooms · Age appropriate furniture and equipment’s with Educations items (Learning and tactile activity items) · Arts and Crafts activities. · Room is well lighted with ventilation. · Drinking water is available through filtered water pitchers and personal water bottles · AM snack is offered by the parents, Lunch is catered or children have the option to bring from home, and these containers are labelled by the parents, while PM snacks are offered by the facility.

and stored in their individual cubbies.
· Electronic sign in and out (Pro-Care application)
· CDC Guidelines are being followed.
· All the four Toddler option classrooms has age appropriate baby toilets and sinks in the classroom.
· Children nap on cot and lines are brought from home and Facility has additional linens if needed.

Indoor activity space: 1743'41 divided by 35= 49'81 ( 50 children)
( Facility has requested 50 Toddlers)

Total sinks: 11 X 15 = 165 children / Total toilets: 6 X 15= 90(children)

Facility has sufficient indoor space with sinks and toilets to support the requested capacity for 50 Toddlers.

Outdoor space: Facility has a designated Toddler yard. The Toddler yard shall be accessed by the children by walking through the hallway.
Toddler yard has a surrounding fence with soft cushion flooring, placed on the age appropriate toy structures with shade to absorb any falls and shade is provided by a building structure and a shaded canopy. There is a bike trail in the yard. Their is one exit door at the end of the yard, when opened accidentally it has a loud Alarm sound to alert the staff. The second fenced gate has a latched lock installed and it opens into the preschool yard.

Outdoor activity space: 3603'82 divided by 75= 48'05 (48 toddlers)
Facility shall request a Waiver for a rotating schedule, in-between the four Toddler classrooms.

PRESCHOOL: Facility has six classrooms assigned for the Preschool children ages (2-6 years old)
each of the six classrooms were measured on the LPA's visit on 3/25/22 and based on the measurements, facility has sufficient space to accommodate the request 130 Preschool children

LPA observed the following in each of the preschool classrooms
Classrooms are adequately equipped with age and size appropriate furniture and equipment.
·Drinking water is available by filtered water pitcher with cups and personal water bottles. (2)

Preschool classrooms has age appropriate Toilets and sinks inside the classrooms
Each room has enough storage space for children and teaching staff.
Preschool age children nap on cots and linens are brought from home.
AM snacks are offered by the parents, Lunch is Catered or children have the option to bring from home and facility offers PM snacks.

Indoor activity space: 4544'70 divided by 35 = 129'85 (130 children)

Total sinks: 18 X 15 = 270 children / Total Toilets: 12 X 15= 180 children

Outdoor Preschool yard : Playground area is completely enclosed by wall. Outdoor activity area is supplied with age and size appropriate equipment including a structure with slides. There are adequate cushioning materials under the climbing structure Shade is provided by trees canopies. Drinking water for outdoor pace will be provided by drinking fountain.

Outdoor activity space : 10,734 divided by 75 = 143'12 (143 children)

Based on the Indoor / Outdoor space, toilets and sinks , facility has sufficient space to accommodate 130 Preschool in the assigned six classrooms.

After a tour of the center, no deficiency was observed.
Facility Administrator is current on the required Pediatric CPR/First Training: Valid up to 06/18/2022

Fire clearance has been granted by Orange County Fire Authority

Based on today’s room measurements/ Outdoor space with sinks and toilets: Facility does have sufficient space to accommodate the requested capacity of 130 Preschool age children (2 – 6 years) in Primary Room # 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 and 6.
50 Toddler option children in four assigned toddler classrooms. Total capacity : 180 children.

Criminal Record Statement : Facility Representative (Ms. Kim, Tamara Lew) was was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA also informed [applicant, licensee, or facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
