25 | A pre/licensing inspection is made today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Connolly as the facility is in the process of new ownership. Facility is requesting capacity of 7 infants 0 to 2 years of age.
Operating hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. There is an existing preschool license with a toddler option component.
LPA met with new administrator/director, Junyan Duan, and toured the facility inside and outside. There were a total of 6 infants in care with two attending staff. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who required caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
The indoor activity space was measured for 259.5764 square feet divided by 35 =7 children.
The outside activity area was measured and the findings are as follows:
1030 square feet divided by 75= 14 children
Infant yard is enclosed by fence.
The Orange County Fire Authority fire clearance for capacity 7 for infants 0-2 was received in the licensing office 11/10/19.
A license will be issued for a total capacity of 7 infants when all the documents/pictures are submitted:
1) sound proof wall separating napping area from indoor activity space needs to be four feet in height
2) tight fitting sheets need to be in place on all cribs
3) changing table needs to be placed within arm's reach to sink
4.) waiver request for shared playground with toddler option children on a rotating schedule to be submitted.
