25 | On 03/24/2021, at 11:30 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stacy Torrence conducted a virtual inspection with Jes Simoncini Winn, Director and Ms. Tejal Patel, Administrator of Operations. The purpose of this inspection is to provide technical assistance and ensure the facility is safe for the care and supervision of children in care. There were 5 children and 3 staff present. Due to COVID-19 state of emergency, a waiver to allow the usage of additional spaces, not licensed by the Department, to accommodate their existing school age children according to the current class size restrictions as a precautionary measure with the COVID-19 outbreak, waiver granted on 06/29/2020 until 09/29/2020, department has agreed to extend the waiver to 06/16/2021.
The Orange County Fire Authority Permit was granted on 09/24/2020, to add the following room: Multipurpose Room (MPR).
Staff either pick up the children or the children walk over to the classrooms themselves, children’s temperature is taken at the door, then children go wash their hands. When parents sign in or pick up their children, they use a tablet, scanning a bar code or they download the app and use their cell phones to scan the barcode. The tablet is outside the classroom; therefore, the parent does not enter the classrooms. If children become ill during the day, they will rest in the isolation area located, in room #1, there is a vinyl couch, located in this room, which is easy to wipe clean after each use. The children will use the staff bathroom which also located in room #1. Children’s authorized representative will be contacted immediately for pick up, if a child becomes ill. Department of Public Health will be contacted in regard to any COVID-19 illness.
Children will stay with the same group as assigned and will not be moved from one group to the other. No more than 16 individuals in a cohort and groups must be kept physically separated. Age appropriate furniture including tables and chairs and are present in each of the rooms to meet the needs of children in care.
