25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ketki Desai conducted an on site pre licensing inspection at this proposed child care center. LPA met with Facility Director Ms. Fenton Violet and toured the two Infant classrooms. The applicant has requested to provide care and supervision for 20 Infants 6 weeks to 24 months in the designated two classrooms # 4 & 5 located at 191 N Orange Street, Monday through Friday, 7.30 am to 4.30 PM.
A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
The parents along with infants shall have access through the main entrance of the facility, located on Orange street for drop off and pick up, facility has set up a table at the entrance, where temperatures shall be checked, hands sanitized before they are taken to the classrooms. Parents sign them manually at the entrance. However, at this time due to COVID pandemic, Parents are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines. LPA observed facility following COVID protocol, with staff wearing masks and sanitizing the areas as needed.
Incidental Medical Services: (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
