25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Blake Morillas conducted a site inspection for the purpose of a Change of Location and an Increase of Capacity visit. The facility is still located on the same school campus, but is permanently changing classrooms to M4 and M5. LPA met with Hillary Hill, the Site Supervisor of the facility. The facility is also requesting an Increase of Capacity, from 24 to 32 Preschool Age children. LPA observed that the facility has the following documents posted on the parent’s board: Parents Rights, Personal Rights, Car Seat Law, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Earthquake Checklist.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
The facility consist of two portable buildings located on the campus of Kings Beach Elementary School. The space consists of the two classrooms and two bathrooms. The previously bathroom waver will remain in effect per request. Throughout the portables, there are a total of 4 toilets and 4 sinks for children use. The classrooms are equipped with child size furnishings. There are individual cubbies for storing children's personal belongings. Facility will use the drinking fountains in the classrooms for water. Facility has first aid kits. All hazardous materials such as cleaning solutions are inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water at the facility. The fire clearance has been received and approved. The classrooms contain a total measurement of 1,278 square feet, which is enough to accommodate the requested capacity of 32 Preschool age children.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
Construction of the outdoor play area has been completed with age appropriate structures and sufficient padding being observed. The Facility will continued to utilize the back top area as well as the field behind the school. Measurements for outdoor area was over 13,000 square feet which does accommodate the requested capacity of 32 Preschool Age children. The facility will utilize outdoor drinking fountains and water jugs for children when outside. Effective today (8-30-2019) the change in rooms and increase to 32 Preschool Age Children is approved. |
