13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Blesi met with director, Misty Meachim, to open and close a complaint investigation, regarding the above allegation. Upon arrival, LPA observed 40 children in care supervised by five staff. LPA interviewed staff regarding the allegation. Staff #1 states that on 4/26/22 they were making art projects at individual tables outside on the playground. Staff state there were 10 children supervised by two staff that day. While the staff were busy assisting the children at the tables, two children were able to go under the nearby play structure and engage in inappropriate touching. Staff immediately informed the parents of both children and discussed the incident. Director then modified the play structure and put up a screen to cover the openings on the play structure to prevent children from going underneath and out of sight. Based on the evidence gathered, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met; therefore, the above allegation is SUBSTANTIATED.
