Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Blesi arrived to the Foskett Ranch Elementary school campus at approximately 12:00PM and checked in with the front office. LPA met with Site Supervisor, Andrea Brand and director Kyla Dehkordi, for the purpose of an unannounced required annual inspection. There were two staff supervising two T-K children in care. The facility is located in the art room and multipurpose room. All criminal record clearances are associated to the STAR Oakhills #313600444. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30AM -6:00pm.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA toured the classroom. Facility shares the playground and restroom with the elementary school. Staff stated there are no children who require medications. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition. The floors appeared clean throughout the facility. All food was protected against contamination. Children bring their own snacks and staff have extra snacks available in case needed. Drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. There are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector. Two staff and two children's records were reviewed. At least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification. LPA reviewed the Department's inspection authority and discussed any changes that may occur regarding the director or an employee acting in the director's absence must be reported to department within 10 working days.

Report continued on 809-C.
