25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Blesi met with director Alyssa Harris for a random annual inspection. This facility is located on Loomis Grammar School grounds in STAR Portable. There were 23 school age children present today supervised by five staff including director. During a case management inspection conducted on 10/16/2018, room #19 was added for use. Facility would now like to use the computer lab located right next door to room #19 and discontinue use of room #19. LPA conducted a health and safety inspection of the computer lab and director provided an updated facility sketch during today's visit. Director states she will submit a copy of the school fire clearance to Licensing by 1/31/2020. Effective today the school age program will utilize two rooms, the STAR portable and computer lab.
LPA reviewed care and supervision of children, staffing ratios, health related services, furniture, equipment, drinking water and food service provisions. The facility uses the elementary school playground and the elementary school bathrooms. LPA reviewed the children's Identification and Emergency Information. LPA reviewed personnel's education and immunization requirements. All staff currently employed with the center have criminal record clearances and are associated to the OAKHILLS STAR program facility #313600444. At least one staff member present today has current EMSA approved Pediatric/Child CPR and First Aid.
LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.

Mandated Reporter Training
LPA advised the Director on the regulation AB 1207- California Child Care Worker: Mandated Reporter Training. The training can be taken online at: mandatedreporterca.com. LPA verified staff have completed the training.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiencies are cited during today's inspection. Licensing report was reviewed and discussed with director. Copy of Appeal Rights provided. |
