13 | On 07/06/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeremey McClain met with Director Hannah Simons for the purpose of a complaint investigation. LPA observed 90 children (napping) supervised by nine staff in eight separate classrooms. It was alleged that staff do not provide a comfortable temperature for day care children. During today’s investigation, LPA conducted interviews with staff and made observations in each classroom. LPA attempted to collect the temperature in each classroom through an application on his phone. LPA observed the temperature on different thermostats throughout the facility. Temperatures collected were not lower than 68 or higher than 85 degrees. The preponderance of evidence standard has not been met; therefore, the allegation is determined to be unsubstantiated. The allegation can neither be confirmed or denied.
There were no Title 22 deficiencies during today’s investigation. LPA reviewed this report with Director and provided a Notice of Site Visit that must be posted for 30 days. LPA provided Appeal Rights.
