32 | ·Uncontaminated drinking water shall be readily available both indoors and out and provided by bottled water to refill jugs for personal drinking cups and dixie cups. The facility was issued a citation on 05/16/2023 with a POC date of 06/16/2023, for detected lead exceedance in classroom 2. Program specialist informed the LPA that the facility classrooms 1 and 2, are going through a remodel as of 05/24/2023. Room 2 outlets A & B identified as having lead exceedances have been replaced and are pending retesting.
· The areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment shall be cushioned with material that absorbs a fall: Facility has wood chips, natural grass and sand.
· Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements on 05/19/2023.
· A Staff member is present with current Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on 03/2025.
· Opening and closing staff member’s CPR/First Aid expires on 06/2023.
· Director is new and pending completion of Health, Safety, Nutrition and Lead Training. A qualified teacher has completed the Health, Safety and Nutrition course, No lead in Spring 2020.
· Staff qualifications and files were reviewed and are complete 05/19/2023.
· Staff have received on the job training for housekeeping, sanitation and universal health precautions

· Children files were reviewed and are complete on 05/19/2023.
· Documentation of fire & earthquake drills to be conducted every six months: Last drill on 05/03/2023 @ 8:50 AM for Classes 1 and 2. A fire clearance was issued on 08/25/2011. L. Romero, tested the carbon monoxide and smoke alarms during the inspection. The fire extinguishers were last inspected on 06/28/2022 and needles are in the green.
· AB2370 – Lead Exposure, day care facilities, effective January 1, 2019 –
The bill requires that all Child Care Centers, operating in a building constructed before January 1, 2010, shall have their drinking water tested for excessive lead levels, on or after January 1, 2020, but no later than January 1, 2023. Child Care Centers must thereafter test their drinking water every five years after the date of the initial test.
· AB605 – Child day care facilities, birth to school-age license; Effective January 1, 2021
· AB2960 – Child care and development services, online portal – Effective June 20, 2022 - This bill requires the State Superintendent of Public Instruction (SSPI), within the California Department of Education (CDE), to develop and post on CDE's website a comprehensive child care and development services online portal for families and providers by June 30, 2022. |
