On 2/23/2022 at 11:00 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Giselle conducted a Case Management inspection due to facility request to add a second outdoor play area for the preschool program. During today's inspection, LPA Carbullido met with Luz Romero (Early Childhood Services Specialist), whom provided access to the campus outdoor activity space and classrooms. The request to add another play area was received on 02/11/2022 to assist with outdoor activities as the current play area which is shared with Kindergarten (waiver on file) operates on a tight schedule. There is no capacity increase for this request. No children present during this visit.

Facility has submitted a formal letter of request for an additional shared play yard and a new facility sketch outlining 2 play areas and 2 classrooms for program located at Longfellow Elementary School. Facility has also submitted a schedule of use by the program.

During todays visit, LPA observed the 2nd play yard on opposite side of facility classrooms. Both play yards flank opposite sides of the facility and are connected by a covered patio area. Both play yards are completely fenced, provide shade and are equipped with age appropriate play structures and equipment. Play structures have wood chips and rubber matting to absorb a fall. Facility has bathrooms independent of the public school and provides water access with water jugs and disposable cups/water bottles.

A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND IS TO BE POSTED IN A PROMINENT LOCATION AT THE FACILITY FOR THE NEXT 30 DAYS.

No deficiencies observed/cited during this inspection.
