25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kim Leung, Lakesha Edwards and Otsanya Cameron conducted a case management inspection at the facility this date on 7/25/2019. Licensee has requested for capacity increase from 100 children to 120 children by adding Room 44 to the program. Room 44 was one of the indoor activity rooms prior to April 2019. Measurements of the room are therefore on file. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Jennifer Adcock, Principal of Early Childhood Learning. Facility is on summer break until 8/14/2019 and therefore LPAs observed no children present at this time. During inspection, LPAs toured Room 44 and observed sufficient age-appropriate furniture and supplies in the Room. There is a restroom with 3 sinks, one utility sink and 3 toilets located between Room 44 and Room 45. There is an employee restroom inside Room 44 which Ms. Adcock agreed to put a sign at the door specifying For Employee Only. The drinking faucet inside the activity room provides drinking water. There is a functioning carbon-monoxide detector in Room 44. All other activity rooms were toured during his inspection.
Bathroom Fixtures:
13 sinks and 10 toilets which could accommodate 150 children.
Facility continues to use the main playground, grassy area A and grassy area B for outdoor activities.
Based upon the measurements on file, it was determined that by adding Room 44 to the facility could accommodate a capacity of 119 indoor. Limiting factor is indoor activity space. Capacity is limited to 119 children.
A new fire clearance has been obtained on 7/8/2019.
During inspection, a sample of children's records were reviewed and found to be complete.
Exit interview was conducted with Ms. Adcock, Notice of Site Visit was issued and must be posted for 30 days. A copy of this report was provided to the facility. This report must be made available at the facility for 3 years for public review upon request. |
