32 | If a child asks to go to the restroom, they are taken to the restroom by staff. There have been instances when a child would not want to go to the restroom, when asked, but would shortly after have an accident. These accidents are usually due to the children not wanting to stop playing. Due to conflicting statements, LPAs were not able to corroborate the allegation.
Regarding the allegation that staff failed to supervise day care children, based on interviews, staff supervise day care children. During outside play time, teachers may talk to one another, but attention is not taken off of the children. Staff do not have extended conversations with one another while supervising the children. Staff are not allowed to use cell phones while they are working and supervising children. Cell phones are kept in the Director's office. LPAx observed the cell phones in the Director's office. Due to conflicting statements, LPAs were not able to corroborate the allegation.
Regarding the allegation that drinking water is not accessible, based on interviews conducted and observation, drinking water is accessible. The water available for the two year old room is on the other side of the partition. Children will ask for water and staff will assist them in getting water. Due to conflicting statements, LPAs were not able to corroborate the allegation.
Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore, the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
