25 | Licensing Program Managers (LPMs) Telma Sandoval, Dawn Parker and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Otsanya Cameron conducted an Informal Office Conference with Yolanda Rivero, Licensee. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss previous violations of Title 22 and Health and Safety Regulations pertaining to violations of Criminal Record Clearances, Operation of a Family Child Care Home (Prohibited Items, Accessible Hazardous items, Fire/Earthquake Drills and Maintaining a Current Child Roster,) Staffing Ratio and Capacity.
LPM Sandoval reminded Licensee of how important regulatory compliance is in licensed facilities to protect the Health and Safety of children in care. Facility representatives have been informed the Licensing Agency takes these violations seriously, and future violations may lead to a Non-Compliance Conference and/or the Department seeking legal consultation regarding the status of the license
On 10/25/19, while LPM Sandoval and LPA Wilburn were conducting an Annual visit, they observed an uncleared individual present and helping with children in care. In addition, the Licensee was out of ratio. LPM and LPA observed 8 children in care, 3 of which were infants with only one qualified Staff. If a Licensee is serving 3 infants, there can only be 6 children total in care to one Staff. Next, LPM and LPA observed a can of Raid, a bottle of Bleach, Windex, Clorox wipes, Murray's Wax and Stainless Steel cleaner unlocked and accessible under the kitchen sink. In addition, there were knives accessible on the counter. Also, the 8 (eight) children in care were not listed or identified on the child care facility roster. Additionally, the last Fire or Earthquake Drill was dated December 1018. Lastly, LPM and LPA observed a prohibited walker, exersaucer and bouncy seat in the living room. |
