25 | Due to COVID-1 State of Emergency on 05/21/2021 at 09:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Destinee Hogue conducted a case management tele-inspection via Microsoft Teams. LPA met with Licensee, Joana Herrera and was granted virtual access inside the facility. LPA virtually toured the inside and outside of the facility, census was taken, and facility records were reviewed. The Licensee has applied to increase her capacity to that of a Large Family Child Care Home and an approved fire clearance was granted on 05/04/2021. During this tele-inspection, LPA observed and discussed the following with Licensee:
Present during this tele-inspection was Licensee and LPA Hogue, there were no daycare children present at the time of this tele-inspection.
Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
OFF-LIMIT AREAS INCLUDE: Entire second floor, garage, and east and west side of backyard
-COVID-19 information and guidance is posted throughout the facility
-Facility License, Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, Notification of Parent’s Rights, Lead Exposure Brochure, See Something Say Something, and Safe Sleep Information are posted at the entry of the facility.
-Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are present and were tested by the Licensee during this tele-inspection.
-All hazardous items were not observed to be inaccessible, at the time of this tele-inspection. While touring the facility, LPA Hogue observed a box of wooden kitchen box matches and grill lighter being stored in separate kitchen drawers. Also, during a tour of the outdoor play area, LPA Hogue observed a row of white rose bushes near facility outdoor play structure. LPA Hogue issued an Advisory Note-Technical Violation notice during this tele-inspection. |
