25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Blanca Ruiz-Silva conducted a case management inspection per Licensee's request. LPA met with licensee, Elizabeth Erwin and toured the facility indoor and outdoor. Upon arrival to the facility LPA observed five children engage in age appropriate activities. The licensee has applied to increase her capacity for a large Family Child Care Home. A prior inspection was conducted on 10/22/19. Fire clearance was granted on 10/28/19 for capacity of 14 children. A review of a sampling of the staff records and children's records were conducted as part of this evaluation. See Children’s Records Review (LIC857) and Staff Records Review (LIC859)

Facility is providing IMS This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. A Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. During this inspection, LPA observed the door to the pool is self-latching, self-closing, and it swing away from the pool. Fence is at least five feet in height. Applicant understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools and spas, in-ground pools and spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per title 22 regulations. Licensee understood that the removable fence must be securely in place during days and hours of operation of the family child care home. Licensee understands that outdoor play area must be supervised at all time while children area present.
The application for a increase of capacity will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 14 children. |
