· Children bring their own lunch. Hot running water is not available at this facility. Facility provides morning and afternoon snacks that require no cooking. Disposal utensils and plates are used. Food preparation area is clean, free of litter, rubbish and free of rodents and other vermin
· Food is stored appropriately and protected from contamination
· All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair
· Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements
· A Staff member is present with current Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires in October 2021 (Brittany Price)
· Opening and closing staff member’s CPR/First Aid expires on 9/21/2021 (Justin Hickey and Brittany Price)
· Director completed Health and Safety Training
· The Licensee was informed of their reporting requirements and is provided with the Regional Office’s Unusual Incident Reporting email mailbox: UnusualIncidentReportsDO09@dss.ca.gov, and UnusualIncidentReportsDO10@dss.ca.gov
· A review of children’s records was conducted and records were found to be complete during this inspection.
· Documentation of fire & earthquake drills was reviewed. The most recent earthquake and fire drill was conducted on 6/3/2021.
· A review of staff records on 6/11/2021 indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
· A review of staff records indicates that all staff present meet minimum qualifications for the position for which they were hired.
· The licensee was advised that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted at the entrance of the facility for a period of 30 days. If a serious violation is cited, a copy of the licensing report (LIC809 or LIC9099) must be posted for 30 days.
· Facility is not currently providing IMS Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed during previous inspection. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
