25 | On 6/19/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Sutter and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Seychelle De Luca met with Director Sandra Anderson for the purpose of an unannounced case management visit. Director requests to remove room 103 from the license, and to add rooms 105A and 105B to the license. Facility also wishes to add playground 2 and 1, following renovation. LPA advised that a new application page (LIC200A), facility sketch (LIC999), and $25 fee should be submitted to Child Care licensing in order to add and remove rooms to the license, as well as to change the facility's capacity. The facility’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Upon arrival, LPA observed 25 preschoolers supervised by 5 staff members. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance.
A health and safety inspection were conducted in all areas accessible to children. LPA measured rooms 105A, 105B, 106, 107, 108, and midway. The total classroom space contains a total of 5197.862 square feet, which accommodates a maximum of 148 preschool children. There are 10 operational toilets and 13 sinks for the children. One toilet adjacent to room 105B is currently inoperable. One front student restroom has 2 toilets and 1 sink, but the restroom iscurrently being operated upon. These restrooms will be used by the Kindergarten classroom. LPA advised director that a request for a shared space waiver in order to use of these restrooms. With current sinks and toilets available, the maximum number of preschool children that can be accommodated is 150. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024).
There are three outdoor area on the property for preschool children. LPA measured Playground 1, 2, and 3. Playground 3 is the only playground currently being used by the preschool. Playground 2 is currently being renovated. Playground 1 will be used by the Kindergarten classroom, and director stated that she wishes to use this space for the preschool as well. LPA advised director that a request for a shared space waiver will need to be submitted to share this playground. CONTINUED ON LIC809-C |
