At 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Karyn Guerra and Josiah Gathing met with Program Director, Arcy Currie, for the purpose of a complaint inspection to deliver findings. It was alleged that Day care children are not adequately supervised resulting in day care child being injured by another day care child. Throughout the course of the investigation, LPAs conducted interviews and made observations. It was learned that child 1 (C1), had multiple incidents with child 2 (C2), resulting in injuries to C1. Interviews with staff state that children were visually supervised during incidents. There was conflicting information received in parent interviews regarding supervision concerns. It was also alleged that the facility did not report incident(s). It was stated in interviews that parents were notified of incidents during

pick up. The facility also utilizes ouch reports and incident reports, which were observed in children's files. Technical assistance was conducted regarding reporting requirements to the department. The allegations are unsubstantiated. Although the alleged violations may have happened or are valid, the preponderance of evidence standard has not been met to fully prove or disprove that they did or did not occur, therefore, they are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted and a notice of site visit provided. Notice of site visit shall remain posted for 30 days.
