There are two separate classrooms and each appeared clean including the carpets and floor. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts. The areas around or under the climbing equipment are cushioned with a resilient material to absorb a fall and there is adequate shade. Uncontaminated drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. Bathrooms were clean and all sinks and toilets were in operating condition. There are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises, and the facility has at least one functioning carbon monoxide detector. The facility does not provide naps or lunch, however snack menus were posted and is provided by the parents. LPA observed all required licensing documentation was posted for parental review and parents were signing their children in and out of the facility.
A sample of children and staff files were reviewed. All children and staff files contained the required documentation. At least one staff present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification that expires in August 2021. LPA observed a current children's roster and a fire drill has not yet been conducted for this school year. LPA observed that all staff had completed the Mandated Reporter training and LPA advised this must be completed every two years.
