25 | On November 30, 2022 at approximately 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing met with Site Director Tonya Vorobets for the purpose of an unannounced annual random inspection. LPA observed care and supervision of 20 preschool children by five teachers. The facility has a maximum capacity of 64 and the Director reported 27 children enrolled. The facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
LPA toured the office, kitchen, three classrooms, children’s restrooms, staff restroom, staff lounge, and outdoor play area. Director stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts and the ground below the play structure is sufficiently padded. Restrooms are in sanitary condition with functioning toilets. The floors were clean throughout the facility. Medications are stored in the office, out of children’s reach and labeled according to regulation.
LPA observed that solid waste containers were covered. Per Director, the facility provides breakfast, lunch, and two snacks daily. A current menu was posted near the facility entrance. Drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. LPA observed a sign in and out sheet which showed all children present with parent’s full signatures.
LPA reviewed staff transcripts and observed all present teachers were fully qualified. LPA observed staff had proof of immunizations and current Mandated Reporter certificates dated October, 2021. All staff had a current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificates that expire March, 2024.
