Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Jan Hoshida and Amie Randa, met with Director, Jacqueline Wyse, for the purpose of a case management inspection. There were 20 children with five staff present. The preschool program operates during the school year from Monday through Friday from 8:15-11:15am and 11:45am-2:45pm.

The preschool recently installed a new outdoor playground structure which was installed in the same location as the old structure. The playground is enclosed in a fully fenced outdoor area, was previously measured and supports licensed capacity. LPAs inspected the playground structure and determined that it meets Title 22 safety regulations and that it was safe for children to use. LPAs observed that there was adequate bark beneath the climbing areas and the structure is intended for children between the ages of two and five years old. LPAs observed that there is shade provided by the permanent shade umbrellas and tree. Teacher informed LPAs that the facility is waiting for a water fountain to be installed so therefore they bring out water pitchers and cups while playing outside to have accessible water for the children in care.

The preschool program has exclusive use of the playground and outdoor area during their operating hours and the before and after school program, Student Care, utilizes the outdoor space as prior to 8:15am and after 2:45pm. The two programs never co-mingle.

An exit interview was conducted and a Notice of Site Visit was posted. There were no deficiencies during today's inspection.
