Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Mai Lor and Christopher Bello met with Site Supervisor Iona Thompson and Program Director Mary Breeding for a follow-up complaint investigation regarding the above allegation. Census included three children supervised by one staff. During the investigation, LPA Lor conducted interviews with site supervisor, director, and staff, and reviewed and obtained copies of pertinent documents.

The complaint alleged that staff conduct poses a risk to children in care by displaying inappropriate behavior. Staff interviews revealed that on one occasion, two staff got into a verbal altercation because one staff refused to move into another classroom for ratio. However, staff interviews were inconsistent to determine if and where the incident allegedly took place and if or whether any day care children have expressed concerns related to staff's conduct.

Based on the above, LPA Lor was unable to determine whether staff conduct poses a risk to children in care.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur at the facility, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

Exit interview conducted and appeal rights provided. A Notice of Site Visit was posted.
