On 3/13/2020 at 11:35 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeevun Birk-Miller and Investigator Jami Eaton met with Director, Karina Medina to deliver the findings for the above listed allegations. The complainant alleged the classroom is not kept at a comfortable temperature. The complainant stated on one occasion the infant classroom was too cold due to the back door being propped open causing the temperature inside to be the same as the outdoor temperature. LPAs observed the thermostats in each of two classrooms which were set at about 72 to 73 degrees Fahrenheit. It was stated through interviews with staff that the back door is often propped open to air out smells, but never left open for long periods of time. It was stated that when the weather is good they will open the door, so the children can watch and interact with the older children who are playing. Through interviews with staff and parents it was stated that the classroom has been observed to be at a comfortable temperature most of the time, but has been cold on a few occasions. Based on a lack of evidence through interviews and observations the above allegations were determined to be unsubstantiated. No deficiencies were cited at this time. An exit interview was conducted and a Notice of Site Visit posted.
