LPA reviewed the sign/in-sign/out sheet as required for school age component, which is located on an online app/tablet. Storage containers with solid waste have tight-fitting covers.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed and is not being provided. Only dietary restrictions are currently requested for some children. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. Facility is awsre that when any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes the IMS must be submitted to the Department.
Staff and children's records were reviewed. Each child's file contained an emergency card. At least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification. CPR expiration:05/2024. All staff currently employed with the facility has a criminal record clearance, and documentation of the educational background, training, and/or experience. LPA reminded director that 100% supervision is required at all times including in the bathroom. There are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises, and the facility has at least one functioning carbon monoxide detector. Facility does fire drills once a month with the elementary school. LPA reviewed the Departments inspection authority and discussed with designee any changes that may occur regarding the director or an employee acting in the director's absence must be reported to department within 10 working days.
