25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Fabiola Diaz met with Site Supervisor Kim McDonald for a case management inspection to add a Toddler Option program to an already licensed classroom under the preschool license. The capacity will remain the same with a capacity of 60 with the three classrooms.
Kim explained that the Pre-K classroom has a capacity of 30 and the Preschool classroom has a capacity of 10. The third classroom will stay with the pre-existing capacity of 20 and will be called the 2’s and 18 Month’s classroom. The 2’s and 18 Month’s classroom will have Toddler Option program, ages 18-36 months. A fire clearance was granted on 5/26/22 to include the toddler option. Medications are stored in the office. Cleaning disinfectants are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Kim stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector. LPA observed sign-in/sign-out binders.
The preschool license has two outdoor play yards. Kim explained that the Toddler Option program will utilize the yard right outside their classroom. Kim understands that the Toddler Option program may not share the outdoor play yard at the same time with other preschool programs. LPA observed safe and sufficient amount of equipment and toys in the outdoor play yards. There are no bodies of water on the premises.
As of today the preschool license is granted the Toddler Option program, with a capacity of 20 toddlers ages 18-36 months. The preschool license will also include 40 preschool children, with a total capacity of 60. This facility evaluation report was reviewed and discussed with Site Supervisor Kim McDonald. A Notice of Site Visit was provided, which must remain posted for 30 days. An exit interview was conducted. |
