25 | At 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27th, 2020, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Karyn Guerra met with Lead Teacher, Amy Davis, for the purpose of an unannounced annual random inspection. Classroom #1 is a wrap program operating from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Classroom #2 is a Head Start class operating from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday thru Thursday. Classroom #3 is a state preschool and special education program operating from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and 11:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Lead Teacher guided LPA on a tour of the facility, at which time a total census of 38 preschool children supervised by 8 staff was observed.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in the classrooms, restrooms, food service areas, and outdoor play areas. LPA observed the following documents are posted: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, menus, and daily schedule. Cleaning disinfectants and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Medications are stored, inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. Bins for solid waste have tight fitting lids. The floors appeared clean throughout the facility. Wrap program in Classroom #1 provides Breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks. Head Start program in Classroom #2 provides, breakfast, a.m. snack, lunch, and p.m. snack. Classroom #3 provides breakfast for morning program, and lunch for the afternoon program.
