25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mai Lor met with Site Supervisor Bambi Alamillo for the purpose of an announced annual random inspection. Census during this inspection included 36 day care children and six staff. LPA toured the building including all activity and classroom spaces, restrooms, food service and outdoor play areas. Appropriate ratio, care and supervision were observed during the visit. Designee was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations and capacity specified on the license. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
LPA observed that medications, toxic and hazardous items are all stored appropriately and inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts. Toileting facilities are in safe and sanitary condition. The facility provides breakfast, lunch and snacks. Food is provided by SETA's main kitchen. The food preparation space is free of litter. All food was protected against contamination. Trash cans containing solid waste had lids. Drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. Menus were posted and electronic sign in/out consisted of full legal signatures. LPA reviewed a random sample of five children and six staff records, and they contained all of the required licensing documentation. At least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification that expires 04/05/2021. Disaster drill log was reviewed with the last current drill conducted on 9/26/19. Designee stated there are no poisons and firearms/weapons on site.
All staff currently employed and present during today's inspection have a criminal record clearance and associated to the facility.
