13 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Michelle Pascual met with Facility Representative/Principal, Robin Kemmer on at approximately 09:40am to deliver findings for the above allegations. There were 9 teachers and 25 children.
The complaint alleged “Staff did not provide adequate supervision to children in care.” According to the complainant, A child was left unattended outside and a teacher had fallen asleep while caring for children. Throughout the course of this investigation, LPA interviewed the Principal, staff and parents and found that the teacher being referenced does not work permanently in the infant classroom. Further, in the instances where the teacher was in the classroom it was only to provide a lunch break of 30 minutes. Moreover, the teacher has not been inside the infant room to provide a break in over a year, which was corroborated by staff. Parents who have children in care have not had any concerns or issues with supervision and are pleased with the care being provided. Through the interviews and observations, LPA found that there was no evidence to support the allegation.
