On Tuesday, 04/19/22, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jan Hoshida made an unannounced visit to the facility. The purpose of the inspection is to conclude the complaint investigation of the above allegations and deliver findings. LPA met with Director Subashini (Sue) Ranatang. Upon arrival, LPA observed 42 children supervised by six staff.

The complaint alleged that staff member took an inappropriate photo of a day care child and staff member hit a day care child. During the investigation, LPA conducted observations of children, interviewed staff and pertinent parties, and reviewed documents.

Based staff interviews, even though Staff #1 had taken pictures of a day care child during nap time, it was not deemed inappropriate. Based on staff interviews regarding discipline, staff stated that they will talk to the children about appropriate and safe behavior and maintain a consistent schedule to help kids understand what is expected of them.
