13 | On September 6th, 2022 at 8:00 am Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jeremey McClain and Katrina Owens met with Licensing Representative Lakshman Ranatunga for the purpose of delivering findings for a complaint investigation. Upon arrival, LPAs observed 24 children supervised by four staff members on the playground. The following was alleged against the facility: Staff were not changing diapers in a timely manner; Staff did not follow sanitary procedures when changing a child’s diaper.
During the investigation, LPA conducted interviews with staff and parents. LPA made observations of a staff member changing a child’s diaper and observed the procedures for changing diapers posted above the changing table in the bathrooms. The evidence gathered did not corroborate the allegations. During observation of a diaper change, LPA did not observe unsanitary practices. Interviews were consistent that all staff follow sanitary practices when changing children’s diapers.
The preponderance of evidence standard has not been met, therefore the allegations cannot be affirmed or dismissed, and are determined Unsubstantiated.
There were no Title 22 deficiencies were observed during today’s inspection. LPAs reviewed this report with Licensing Representative and provided a Notice of Site Visit that must be posted for 30 days. LPA provided Appeal Rights.
