13 | On February 27th, 2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mandie Goodwin met with facility representative Lakshman Ranatunga and Subashini Ranatunga to conduct addition interviews for a complaint investigation and deliver findings. Upon arrival LPA observed 54 children being supervised by 9 staff.
It was alleged that staff left a child in wet clothing after the child was dropped off in rainy weather. During the course of the investigation LPA conducted interviews with staff, children, and parents. Interviews revealed that children do not go outside when weather conditions are rainy, and that if children are wet they are changed into clothes that parents provide and are kept in their cubbies. Reporting party had also stated that they did not realize the child was wet until after they got home.
Although the allegation may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. No title 22 deficiences are cited. Exit interview was conducted with Lakshman Ranatunga and appeal rights were provided. Notice of site visit is posted for 30 days. |
