25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with facility representative and Principal, Katie Hedrck, for a case management inspection. The facility submitted the application for change of capacity of children to be served. The new capacity requested is 24 children. Purpose of the inspection today was to inspect the physical plant, to ensure the facility has enough space for new capacity of 24 preschool age children and to ensure the classrooms meet the licensing requirements.
During today's inspection, LPA inspected the preschool classroom. The facility is operating from the portable on a school site .During inspection, LPA observed the facility has an old license posted, which shows the capacity of 20 children. LPA informed the Principal that the correct current capacity of the facility is 33. Principal agreed to keep the capacity of 33 and ask the LPA not to change it to 24. There is no change in the physical plant. Facility is still using the two portables on school property. LPA observed there are two sinks and three sinks available for the children. Each classroom has fire extinguisher, pull alarm and first aid supplies. There is a carbon monoxide detector in the facility. There is no change in the play yard for the children.
During today's inspection, LPA did not observe any hazard in the day care areas. As of today, the application for new capacity will be closed as 'withdrawn' by the Principal. During inspection, LPA printed the correct license and provided to the Principal. Copy of this report was reviewed and provided to the Principal. Notice of site visit is posted and shall remain posted for next 30 days. |
