25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seychelle De Luca met with Director Tonya Vorobets for an unannounced annual random inspection. Director was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. LPA observed 14 napping preschool children and an aide Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
LPA toured all activity and classroom spaces, restrooms, food service, and outdoor play area. LPA observed the following documents are posted: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, menus, and daily schedule. Cleaning disinfectants and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible. Currently, there are no medications on the premises. Director stated there are no poisons on the premises. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. The floors appeared clean throughout the facility. The food preparation space is free of litter, all food was protected against contamination, and storage containers with solid waste have tight-fitting covers. Program provides breakfast, lunch, and three snacks.
Drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. LPA observed full legal signatures while reviewing the sign in and sign out sheet. Climbing equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts. There is shade supplied by trees.
Staff and children's records were reviewed. Each child's file contained an emergency card and a medical assessment. At least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (exp. 02/2020).
