25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Karyn Guerra met with Licensee Tamara Mohler for the purpose of an unannounced annual random inspection. Licensee was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. Census upon arrival was 5 preschool aged children and 3 toddlers supervised by 4 staff. Hours of operation for the facility are 7:30AM-5:30PM, Monday thru Friday.
LPA toured the facility including classrooms, restrooms, food service areas, and outdoor play areas. LPA observed the following postings: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, Child Passenger Safety Law, menus, and daily schedule. Cleaning disinfectants and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Licensee stated there are no poisons on the premises. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. Bins for solid waste have tight fitting lids. The floors appeared clean throughout the facility. The food preparation space is free of litter, and all food was protected against contamination. Program provides morning and afternoon snack. Lunch is provided by parents.
Uncontaminated drinking water is accessible to children indoors and outdoors. LPA observed full legal signatures while reviewing the sign in and sign out sheet. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts. There is adequate cushioning beneath the climbing structure in the outdoor play area to absorb a fall. There is a sufficient amount of outdoor shade provided by trees.
