At 2:00pm on 6/14/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Gallo met with the facility director Laura Murguia and licensing liaison Betsy Uda for a case management inspection. The facility is a preschool with a toddler option, and licensee has requested a total capacity change of 80 children to 76 children. Along with this overall reduction, licensee has requested to increase the current toddler component capacity from 12 to 16.

The preschool activity space has not changed. During today’s inspection, LPA measured the activity space for the toddler component, which encompasses the relevant interior areas of a single classroom. The total area measured for child activity was found to be 634.5 square feet. LPA also measured outdoor activity space, which was found to be 2,376.125 square feet. Based on today's measurements and observation, the toddler component of the facility has sufficient indoor and outdoor activity space for the requested 16 toddlers. In addition, LPA observed sufficient amount of napping equipment and storage space to accompany the requested increase.

The facility's request to increase the toddler component capacity from 12 to 16 children will be forwarded to the licensing program manager for final review, along with this report and the measurements.

Copy of this report was reviewed and provided to the facility director Laura Murguia. Notice of site visit is posted and shall remain posted for next 30 days.
