25 | LPA Washington met with licensee Nadezhda Tatar for the purpose of an unannounced annual/random inspection. The facilities’ hours of operation are Monday- Friday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The facilities annual fees are current. Upon arrival, Licensee, her adult daughter and daughter-in-law who was visiting with her three children. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limit areas include three bedrooms and garage. During today's inspection Licensee requested to place the front bedroom near the entrance as on limits. LPA toured the room and approved it for use. LPA requested for Licensee to update the facility sketch. LPA observed a working phone, 2A10BC fire extinguisher, first aid kit and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Per licensee, there are no weapons in the home. No children were observed in parked cars. There are no accessible bodies of water on the premises. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Licensee stated that the fireplace in the home is never in use during day care hours.
Licensee does not provide Incidental Medical Services (IMS) at this time. For IMS information, licensee was advised to see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. A sample of staff and children's records were reviewed. Required postings, a current roster, disaster drill log and proof of immunization's were observed. Current EMSA Certified pediatric CPR and first aid certification was verified and expires: 09/25/20.
